Hey out there (if anyone I know is still on Xanga!! I hear that I need a facebook page now-we'll see .)  I just wanted to do a quick update and let you know that Nick and I are expecting a baby!!  I'm due right around Christmas, and we are super excited!  I'm 10 weeks along now, and things have been going well so far.  School just got out yesterday, so I am very much looking forward to the relaxing break and the BEACH next week.   Whoo hoo!!  Okay, that's it for now, and if I keep up my past rate, I'll probably update when the baby is born, hahaa!

September is heerrree!!  Yay, I love fall, especially Boston in the fall.  It's nice here in Lou'ville too though.  We've been enjoying temps in the 60's and 70's for the last week now, and I'm lovin it!  Today is a holiday (hoorah!) and Nick and I are going with some of our neighbors to a farm where we can pick our own apples and peaches.  We're going to be adventurous and make my first attempt at canning applesauce and peach jam!!  I'm so excited, which is wierd because I used to give my Mom the hugest sigh ever when I was growing up and had to help her with the canning!  Amazing how different you are when you grow up-I want to try it all now, and I'm glad Nick said he would help me or I would probably make a gigantic mess!  No more than the 2 of us allowed in our kitchen though (for those of you who may wish to volunteer to help) not because I don't want you here, but because our kitchen is only two rear-ends wide!   Anyhoo, it should be interesting, and hopefully provide something we will enjoy all winter.

School is going great-I have a wonderful class this year.  It is amazing how tiny they all seem at the beginning of the year!  And equally amazing how much they don't know yet.  I mean, my class last year knew EVERYTHING, including multiplication, division, nouns and verbs etc.  Oh yeah, they knew it all by the end of last year, and only because I taught it to them.  Aw man, it's a bummer to have to start alll over again!

Happy Labor Day to you all, and happy fall too!!

Welll, school is just around the corner and I am NOT atall ready freddy!  I'm ready as far as being prepared, but not ready in spirit yet, if you know what I mean.  Summer has spoiled me and that's all there is to it!  No, I'm having a bad attitude, really I am kinda excited about the new year.  I've met 3 of my students so far, 2 of which I've been told will be my handfulls!!  The other is a little girl, who, after she met me left the room and told her Mom that she was sooo excited because she was going to have the prettiest teacher in the whole school!  Awww, isn't that precious?  That's definitely what makes it all worth it!  This next week is teacher in-service week in which we get the privilege of attending tons of meetings and watching lovely emergency and discipline videos-yuck!  Oh well, the next week is when the kids come and that will be fun !

Yes, for all of you Elise's out there who are wondering!  Ginny Lou DOES have a man and everyone is very happy 'bout it!  His name is Ben Tidwell and has been a long-time friend of the family, grew up with my brother Joseph and our Moms are best of friends.  He is living near us and Ginny Lou is coming up to Boyce College in Louisville as well in August, so all are very excited about that too!  Anyhoo, I'll write more later but am in a hurry now, so I hope that satisfies for the moment!!

Wow!  Have I said how much I LUUV summer break?  It is DEFINITELY one of the best perks to being a teacher yet!  Nick and I have been bummin' around all week just havin' fun doing random things.  He's had a monster of a cold, which he so graciously passed on to me, but I took good care of him and I think he's going to live!

I had another awesome Premier Jewelry show last night!  The Lord is really blessing this business opportunity and I'm really excited about it.  It is a great product and incredible hostess benefits, so you can't really go wrong with it!  I'm excited to see how God continues to make it work for Nick and I through this next year.  I'm loving it and making some extra moolah too which never hurts!

Guess what?  I'm making a quilt!  Mary, my neighbor, is teaching me and it is looking so great.  I'm excited about finally learning how to do something with my machine that I got for Christmas.  It's going to be loverly and so comfy come this winter.

That's all for now!  Better go rustle up some dinner for the old man.
